Hello, I'm John Groves,

As the Program Officer for the Labrador Straits Welcoming Communities Strategy, I'm focused on addressing the challenging demographics and labor issues in the region.

Since the beginning, I've been on the road, engaging with businesses and residents in southern Labrador. Guided by the SLDA team, I will discuss our challenges and objectives related to recruiting and retaining new residents and former Labradorians. It's crucial to have a strong presence in the area, and I will also highlight the advantages of joining the Southern Labrador Development Association.

In a short period, our business membership has tripled, with more individuals signing up every day. I look forward to meeting you and having conversations about any topics that interest you.

I am excited to work alongside a dedicated team to make a positive impact in the Labrador Straits community. Our focus on addressing demographic and labor challenges is crucial for the region's growth and prosperity.
