Valerie Layden

Hello everyone!

My name is Valerie Layden, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Senior's & Community Support Coordinator with the Southern Labrador Development Association.

As a proud resident of L'Anse Au Loup, I am blessed to be raising my 6 year-old son in such a beautiful community, surrounded by family, and friends. You may also recognize me from my years of service with different businesses locally, where I had the pleasure of connecting with and supporting members of our community and building beautiful connections.

I am excited to begin this new chapter with SLDA and look forward to making our Senior's Office a welcoming, friendly, and supportive space where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and confident accessing the services they need.

I am here to help make everyday tasks a little easier by assisting in completing online forms, navigating government applications, accessing online services, or building confidence with technology. My goal is to help seniors and community members feel more comfortable as our world becomes increasingly digital.

There are lots of exciting things ahead... informative workshops, educational activities and training sessions. I would love to collaborate with volunteer and community groups for a chance to grow and learn together!

I look forward to meeting new faces, reconnecting with familiar ones, and working together to make a positive difference in our communities.
